During my vacation at San Onofre, I unexpectedly needed to visit the Camp Pendleton Naval Hospital. Despite the situation, I was pleasantly surprised by the experience. The hospital staff was incredibly professional, attentive, and compassionate from the moment I arrived. They made sure I was comfortable and well-informed throughout my visit. The facility was clean and well-organized, and the level of care I received was top-notch. The efficiency of the medical team was impressive, and they quickly addressed my needs while also taking the time to explain everything in detail. Overall, what could have been a stressful situation was made much easier thanks to the dedicated and caring staff at Camp Pendleton Naval Hospital.

Literally what was the worst day of our lives was made so much better by the staff here at Naval! Our 3 year old had a febrile seizure on July 4 evening, and the nurses and doctors in the ER responded so fast and were so empathetic to our situation! Our baby is doing fine because of how well they intervened, and we are just so thankful to have our baby here with us!

I had a great ER experience, yes it was 4 hours but they were respectful and listened to my issues and made sure they ordered correct testing. Thank you ER staff, especially my nurse & Dr (Lt Cowden & Dr. Tschinkel)

Best care I have ever had. Caring compassionate and very respectful staff. They actually listen to you and they do not rush your appts. The staff in internal medicine A++ I am so grateful that I can go there. The doctors are phenomenal but I can't say for the rest of the employees I have not had to deal with them. The only jerks I dealt with were X-rays, MRI and pharmacy not filling my medicine after I spoke to them. But internal medicine was awesome. I have been told labor and delivery has the most awful people.

I had to go to emergency room in the middle of the night when I cracked my left eye brow because I hit the corner of the wall in the bathroom in the dark ha ha ha … yeah was funny but hurt. My husband is corpsman and he took me to this naval hospital, he said all of them are trained well in this hospital. The doctor who helped me she stitched my eye brow. I was nervous at the beginning and I always scared if anything happens with my face. But doctor was so patient and capable to do great. I am impressed that after the stitches were dried my eye brow healed well and no scars like never happen to it before. Thank you.

I had the best doctors and nurses deliver my baby back in April. This was my first pregnancy so I was very nervous and just didn’t know what to expect given how you can’t really plan your labor because anything can happen. Luckily I had an amazing team on call, any questions I had were answered, any request I had were met, and made my labor go as smooth as possible without any complications. Thank you!

This review is specifically for Dr. Brophy in neurology. She’s great — 10/10 recommend. She’s knowledgeable, prompt, attentive, and validating. I love the pins on her coat, and I really appreciate that she never made me feel silly for asking questions and believes me when I describe my pain. I’ve had doctors in the past who didn’t validate my experience, so having one who does means a lot. I’m honestly super bummed I can’t keep her as my neurologist once my husband gets out. As for the rest of the hospital, it’s more of a you-get-what-you-get experience. At one OB appointment the midwife and corpsman argued a bit in front of us, which was awkward. Customer service isn’t always amazing, but I don’t think many of them really got to “choose” to work there and for the amount of “free” care you get with Tricare — $0 copays, prescriptions, ER visits — I don’t have much to complain about. With my husband leaving the Navy, it’s definitely an eye opener how expensive healthcare really is.

I want to take the time to recognized some of the ER staff for the excellent care they provided my daughter. There are some nurses I didn’t get the names of, and I wish I remembered everyone. Big shout out to Nurse Thompson for how well she handled placing her IV and keeping her calm. She is so amazingly compassionate and empathetic, outstanding bed side manner. My daughter gets very anxious and she handled it so well. I’m blown away by the way she is able to communicate and connect with children. Nurse Wells-McGee, thank you so much for listening to all my concerns, being so willing to listen to my intuition about what my daughter was going through, and checking everything thoroughly. There were two other nurses working with her case, one male and one female, and I didn’t get their names, but everyone was so helpful. I appreciate all of you so much for what you do. ❤️
